Short version: some links on AssetVaultSG earn me a small commission. You pay nothing extra. My opinions stay mine.
Want the longer version? Keep reading. I’d rather spell it out than bury it in tiny grey text at the bottom of a page.

Why This Page Exists
I run AssetVaultSG alone. I pay for the hosting, the domain, the research tools and the subscriptions to reports I read so you don’t have to. None of that comes free, and I don’t sell courses or manage anyone’s money.
So the blog earns a bit through affiliate links, display ads and the occasional sponsored post. I think you deserve to know exactly how that works, especially on a site that talks about where to put your money.
How Affiliate Links Work Here
Sometimes I link to a product or service, say a brokerage, a robo-advisor, a credit card, a travel insurance plan or a piece of software. If you click that link and sign up or buy something, the company may pay me a commission.
A few things stay true every single time:
- You don’t pay more. The price stays the same whether you use my link or go direct. Now and then a partner throws in a sign-up bonus for my readers, and I’ll mention it when that happens.
- Commissions don’t buy rankings. I’ve written negative reviews of products that offer affiliate programs. I’ve also recommended things that pay me nothing at all, like Singapore Savings Bonds, because they made sense.
- I tell you. Posts with affiliate links carry a note near the top. I don’t hide it at the bottom after you’ve already clicked.
When a partner offers a fat commission for a product I don’t trust, I skip it. That’s happened more than once, mostly in the crypto space.
Display Ads
You might see ads on some pages. Third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense pick and serve those ads, not me. I don’t choose which brands appear, and an ad showing up next to my post doesn’t mean I endorse that company.
These networks may use cookies to show you ads based on your browsing. You can read more in my Privacy Policy, and you can manage ad personalisation through your browser or your Google account settings.
Quick tip: finance ads attract scammers. If an ad promises guaranteed returns or uses a famous person’s face to sell an investment, treat it as a red flag and report it. I block the shady ones whenever I spot them, but I can’t catch everything.
Sponsored Posts and Reviews
Occasionally a brand pays me to write about them or sends me a product or free access to test. When that happens:
- I label the post clearly as Sponsored or Partnership at the very start.
- I keep full control over what I write. I don’t send drafts for approval, and I don’t agree to “positive coverage only” deals.
- If I find problems, I include them. Brands that can’t live with that don’t get to work with me, and a couple have walked away. Fine by me.
What I Won’t Do
- Accept payment to change a rating or remove criticism.
- Promote unlicensed investment schemes, guaranteed-return products or anything that smells like a Ponzi.
- Pretend a sponsored post came from my own spontaneous enthusiasm.
- Recommend a financial product just because it pays the most.
I try to follow the spirit of the Singapore Code of Advertising Practice and general good-practice rules on disclosure. If you ever feel a post crosses a line, tell me.
A Reminder About Advice
Affiliate or not, nothing here counts as financial advice. I write as an independent blogger, not a licensed financial adviser, and MAS doesn’t regulate me. Before you open an account, buy a policy or invest in anything I mention, check the details yourself and talk to a licensed professional if the decision matters to you. Product terms, rates and fees change, sometimes overnight, and my posts may lag behind.
Changes to This Page
When I add new partners or ad networks, or change how I make money from the blog, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
Questions?
If you want to know whether a specific link earns me anything, just ask. I’ll tell you straight. You can reach me through the Contact page.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for using my links when you find them useful. It keeps the lights on here.
